WITNESS TONIGHT’S SUPERMOON 2017

The commemoration of the UAE 46th National Day will end with an amazing lunar celestial event, the Supermoon 2017. The Full Moon shall be slightly larger (7%) and (16%) brighter than usual. It will the only occurrence for this year 2017 as part of the trilogy of supermoons to happen next month, particularly on January 1 and the other on January 31, 2018. read more

UAE SPACE EXPLORATION: NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION

Al Sadeem Astronomy (ASA) participated in the early commemoration of the 46th UAE National Day held in Khalifa University and Petroleum Institute – Women’s Campus last November 28-29, 2017 respectively. With the theme “UAE Space Exploration”, it was a great time imparting the role of earth and space sciences in the legacy of the UAE, as well as its significance to our daily lives, given the fact that its fundamental principles brought us further development in technology and as a nation over the years. read more
