Here are today’s solar images taken from Al Sadeem Observatory, August 11, 2017.

The sky was mostly sunny but experienced intermittent light to moderate winds, making the seeing and transparency average to poor at the time these images were taken.

Very low solar activity was observed over the past 24 hours. AR2670 remains magnetically stable and quiet in activity with no major flaring activity recorded. The latest sunspot number (based on visual count and Wolf number calculation) is 11.

Space weather agencies predicted a persisting relatively calm Sun with slim chance of any serious solar flare or CME activity in the next 24 hours. Close monitoring is being conducted by numerous space weather agencies for any significant development.
