Here are today’s solar images taken from Al Sadeem Observatory, June 19, 2017.
The sky was mostly clear and not so windy, making the seeing and transparency good at the time these images were taken.
The two active regions, AR2662 and AR2663, are still present on the Sun. Over the past 24 hours, a further decrease in sunspot count was observed; currently at 26 (based on visual count and Wolf number calculation).
There were reports of several B-class flare outbursts associated with AR2663 which were minor and produced no significant effect to Earth as it approaches the Sun’s western limb.
With this matter, SIDC and NOAA-SWPC forecast a relatively calm Sun, specifically a gradual decrease in solar activity with minimal chance of any serious solar flare or CME activity in the next few days but close monitoring is being conducted for any major development.
