Here are today’s solar images taken from Al Sadeem Observatory, October 25, 2017.

The sky was clear with very little air turbulence, making the seeing and transparency good at the time these images were taken.

The Sun has been quiet without any flaring activity recorded. AR2685 and AR2686 were both inactive over the past 24 hours as these visible small sunspot groups possess stable magnetic configuration and some marginal decay observed. The latest sunspot number (based on visual count and Wolf number calculation) is 24.  Numerous pillar-shaped prominences on the limbs and filaments were also clearly seen on the Sun’s disk in H-alpha imagery.

Space weather agencies* forecast solar activity to remain at low levels with chances of few flaring activity ranging from relatively weak B-class to C-class intensity from both AR2685 and AR2686. The extent of the frequency and intensity of the Sun’s activity will highly depend on the magnetic flux fluctuations happening in the visible ARs in the coming days. Close monitoring is being conducted by numerous space weather agencies for any significant development.
