SUNSPOT MONITORING – JULY 11, 2017

Here are today’s solar images taken from Al Sadeem Observatory, July 11, 2017.

The sky was partly cloudy and experienced intermittent moderate to strong breeze, making the seeing and transparency poor at the time these images were taken.

AR2665 remains vigorous in activity with numerous B-class flares recorded over the past 24 hours. The latest sunspot number (based on visual count and Wolf number calculation) is 32.

Space weather agencies forecast more impending flare outbursts (B-class to possible M-class) depending on its possessing magnetic flux in the coming hours or few days. Since the AR has rotated to the position facing Earth, any occurring solar activity could impact Earth directly. Close monitoring is being conducted by numerous space weather agencies for any significant development. We will make you updated.

Some filaments and little prominences on the limbs were captured on its occurrence in the false color H-alpha image.
