SUNSPOT MONITORING – MAY 8, 2017

Here’s today’s solar image taken from Al Sadeem Observatory, May 8, 2017.

No significant solar activity was observed as it remains (very) low over the past 24 hours. Further decrease in sunspot count was found as AR2654 nears the limb, moving out of our sight of the Sun’s photosphere, and AR2655 has lost its distinct associated spots, almost unnoticed in this image.

We can definitely describe the Sun to be quiet at this moment. We’ll keep monitoring.
